Consultation on the new edition of the Fire Code will be upon us shortly, and the Fire Service should be getting ready for it. Anyone who works with the Fire Code on a daily basis, both recognizes its value, but also recognizes that there are shortcomings to it too. Therefore, we are encouraging all members to both submit code change requests and to participate in the process to consult on the new edition of the code. If you have a code change request, the OFM has an online submission page here. If you submit a change request, please provide us with a copy, so we can review and submit a consolidated list on behalf of the OMFPOA. We will post those proposals and information on the consultation under the Legislation link to your left. As information on the code consultation becomes available, we will keep you informed. |
